Where the bollox have I been and what the crap have I been doing?
Well, dispite being a misserable cow not much.
Work has been messing me around and leaving me feeling really drained. Since my last post I escaped to Royston for a breather but as soon as I got back to London I wanted to turn around I go back again.
I am off to Bath this weekend to see my sister which will be a nice brake and at the end of August I’m heading to Falmouth for a mini-brake. And with any luck I’ll escape back to Royson for a breather soon aswell.
I really actually can’t stand being in London at the moment. The day in day out drudgery and stress are getting to me big time.
But I am lucky that I have seriously awesome friends and people to work with who get me out of my head.
I’m going to see the new Harry Potter on Monday with one of the girls…CANNOT WAIT!
I’ve not really been up to all that much recently.
the most exciting thing to happen is that after 6 months of asking I have finally changes departments at work. I not work more with the food and less with the stacking it which is good. I also get on with the crew on my new department(bar one or two irritating people) a lot better then I do with my old crew (bar a few people). I need to work on my cheese slicing and hand carving but other then that so far so good.
This Friday the Cambridge/Royston gang are coming to town to see Dave Matthews Band!!! Very exciting
My friend Emma is staying for the weekend despite the fact my home is still a mess from the builders. Stuff is random places etc…not good. I seriously do not know what to do with it all. I doubt she’ll mind but its just very annoying. We are going to hit up Portobello Market in the aim of finding fabulous hats and shoes…woot!
It has been seriously sunny lately and I have managed not to burn so far…lets see what nest weekend will bring!
So where have I been the past few days? Well, working mostly and plus I got Sims 3 and a good book ( “A Fraction of the Whole” by Steve Toltz). Its a really good book! Very funny! READ IT!
Looking forward to my day off on Sunday…looking forward to a good sleep and a day playing Sims 3!!
So much for a day off. I shot myself in the foot by voluntearing to go into work today to try and get rid of (sell) 96 gooseberry possets. When I went in at 10.30am we had 96 and when I left at 3pm we had 42…not bad. I think the rest will go…fingers crossed.
I recently got a laptop…from which I am writing this….and I had been trying to transfer over my iTunes from my desk top to my laptop. I was going to do it with a USB but my computer genius Dad advised it would be better to do it with DVDs. I went out and bought some DVD’s and put one into the CD/DVD drive but nothing happened. I called him up and explained what was going on and he told me to do this and that and the other but nothing worked. So he came over with a portable CD/DVD drive and still it wouldn’t work so he has come over again today to have a look and now ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE!
The hard drive in my old desktop (that my mother is REFUSING to get replaced) is actually dieing..slowly and painfully and that means we run the serious risk of loosing everything on it forever. And ever and ever and ever and yet my mother wants to replace the hard drive rather then just get a new, up to date PC. Our now somewhat decrepit PC is at least 5 years old and is worn out from 2 kids and all her usage, its got un-told viruses on it and will probably explode soon. The hard drive is so dead that is doesn’t actually recognise the CD/DVD drive at all!
So my computer genius Dad is now going to have to take the damn old thing to bits and rebuild it so my mother and I will be without the use of the desk top for a few days. He is going to strip it, but a new operating system on and an up to date version of Office on it for my mother.
I am so scared of loosing all my music…I neeeeeeeeeeeeed my music….neeeeeeeed it!!! ARGH! And my photos….ARGH and that’s about it…CRAP!
I really hope he can save it all for me…I have absolutely no idea what he is doing with the computer now and frankly I don’t actually care what happens to it as long as I get my music off it!
In other news I am heading back to Royston on Wednesday to see my friend Emma’s end of Uni Play…cannot wait!
